Mrs. Renninger was originally a patient of Dr. George Lopatofsky who made this denture in the 1960's. This denture sports porcelain teeth that have held up through the years. When Dr. George retired in 1986, Mrs. Renninger became a patient of Dr. Bruce Bense and Dr. Debra Lopatofsky who took care of her and her husband until Dr. Bruce retired in 2020. Now, in 2026, Mrs. Renninger came in with a denture tooth off this denture. She said it came off while she was eating breakfast. She kept the tooth and brought it and the denture into the office where Dr. Spencer Bense took charge to repair her denture. The repair took several hours to complete, but Dr. Spencer was able to use her original tooth and "re-cement" it back into place. Mrs. Renninger was absolutely thrilled the tooth could be reused. It's not every day that you come across a patient that has been treated by three generations of dentists!

Also we thought it was really cool that to the right of Dr. Spencer's left shoulder is a picture of Dr. George who definitely is smiling seeing his grandson continue his legacy!!

This is “Jack” a 10-year-old patient who came in to see Dr. Bense as an emergency patient. Jack was sleeping on the bus on the way to school when a bump in the road caused his head to hit the window breaking his front tooth. He was driven to the office later that day and Dr. Bense evaluated the tooth and recommended composite bonding to repair the tooth. Jack and his mother were very happy to have his smile restored!

“Rene” came to see Dr. Bense after an orthodontic consult to close the gap between her front two teeth. Rene reports she was self-conscious of her smile and the “black triangle” between her front two teeth and because of it, would not smile fully. Rather than undergo expensive and lengthy orthodontic treatment to close this gap, Dr. Bense recommended cosmetic composite bonding that could be completed same-day with fantastic results. Rene was so happy with the outcome and reports her confidence and smile are back!

This is “Charlene” who came to see Dr. Lopatofsky because she was unhappy with the appearance and shape of her maxillary anterior teeth. Charlene wanted to have a better smile for an upcoming high school reunion. In particular, she was unhappy with the black lines present on her front two teeth. Treatment options were given and Dr. Lopatofsky recommended resin veneers from canine to canine of her maxillary anterior teeth. This case was completed over the course of an afternoon with Dr. Lopatofsky. Charlene was thrilled and said how many compliments she was given at her reunion.

Chris and Dr. Debra had been battling internal resorption of Chris’ front right tooth for years until one day the tooth fractured off at the gumline. Dr. Debra recommended extraction of the non-restorable tooth, bone graft at time of extraction, replacement of the tooth with a conventional implant and implant crown. The tooth was extracted, an interim prosthesis was made so Chris would not be going without a tooth while he healed from the extraction. The implant was placed and three months later the implant crown was delivered and Chris was beyond pleased with the results.

A custom prosthesis was fabricated from impressions and a bite. A wax try-in was completed to make sure that the bite was correct and the patient was pleased with the size, shape and shade of the teeth. This is the result when all of steps are completed. This patient was thrilled with his new smile as evidenced by his full teeth grin, laughs and natural glow-up!
