Dr. Debra A. Lopatofsky

Debra Lopatofsky

Dentist

DDS

Since the age of 11, Dr. Debra Lopatofsky knew that the only career she wanted was to become a dentist. She came to this decision after many years dental assisting for her father Dr. George Lopatofsky. She saw first-hand how challenging dentistry is, but how rewarding the field could be and knew that she was hooked. Dr. Debra and her husband Dr. Bruce Bense took over the practice from Dr. George in 1985 where she continues to practice today, now into her 40th year!

After 40 years, Dr. Debra remarks that her favorite aspect of dentistry is how each day is unique both in the procedures performed and in the patients seen. After 40 years, she still is challenging herself: learning new techniques, incorporating new technology into the practice and striving to continue to grow the practice so that it is here to continue to serve patients for the next 40 years!

Outside of the office, Dr. Debra is a “rock and roll groupie” and can be found in the front rows jamming the night away at concerts such as Foreigner, Aerosmith, Led Zepplin or Styx. She also enjoys her home away from home in Portland, Maine where she explores the many restaurants and local artisan shops. Her proudest achievement is being a mother to three wonderful children: Connor, Madison and Spencer. Dr. Debra as of 2021, has the privilege to work with and be a mentor for her son Dr. Spencer, who joined the practice as the third generation.
